Brinton McCusker served on the Planning Commission since 2011.

He recently stepped down after eight years.

At today’s Ripon City Council meeting, elected leaders will recognize McCusker for his service “marked by exemplary and energetic participation in the vital accomplishments of this commission,” according to the proclamation.

Mayor Leo Zuber is scheduled to present the proclamation – an appreciation to McCusker for his commitment in all areas of the community during his service on the Planning Commission – at the 6 p.m. open session at Ripon City Hall (Council Chambers), 259 N. Wilma Ave.

In other agenda items.

  • Council will look to authorize staff to proceed with the development of wireless facility design guidelines, finalizing a permitting process and updating the City’s wireless telecommunication ordinance to be in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission.
  • Staff will provide a mid-year General Fund budget update.
  • Council will adopt via second reading of the “Traffic Control Devices” amendment to the ordinance, which would allow the position of Chief of Police with authority to OK the installation of stop signs, for example, when all applicable warrants are met.
