For the past 13 years, Trick or Treat has been a popular daytime event in downtown Ripon.

The younger children were accompanied with a parent or adult supervision. Some from the local high schools also got involved.
Groups of Trick or Treaters made their way along the Main Street businesses, being greeted by grownups who were also dressed in costume.

The Manteca Veterans of Foreign Wars are among the few offering a family event today, the actual day of Halloween.
The trunk and treat that offers free entry takes place at the VFW Veterans Center, 580 Moffat Blvd, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31 There will also be food, drinks, games, and prizes.
