The Fleet Maintenance Facility Project is officially completed.
The work on the City of Ripon’s new corporate yard was conducted by Diede Construction, Inc.
On Tuesday, the Ripon City Council signed off on the filing of a Notice of Completion by the Lodi-based contractor with a retention – a common practice in construction contracts to manage risk and ensure project completion it to the agreed upon standard – of $596,501 to be paid in 35 days after the recording of notice.
The retention will be paid through several funds, including AB 1600, General Dept. Capital, Sewer Capital Enterprise, Water Capital Enterprise, and Storm Capital Enterprise.
City official held a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the opening of the Fleet Maintenance Facility back in the fall.
The project consisted, in general, of a maintenance and operations building along with a fuel island, fuel storage tanks, vehicle wash building, back-up generator, and trash / recycling enclosure.
The site work included paved staff and visitor parking and drive aisles, landscape, sight lighting and security cameras, and perimeter fencing.
“The Fleet Maintenance Facility Project is complete and in substantial conformance with our Plans and Specifications,” said Public Works Director James Pease in his staff report.
