The first of school at Ripon High is Wednesday, Aug. 6.
But before that, students, teachers and staff will have important dates during the coming days.
The kickoff to the 2025-2026 school year will begin with Tribe Day for seniors and juniors on Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, in the RHS North Gym.
This is the first of the traditional two-day registration session. Seniors and juniors can pick-up all the necessary items including class schedules for the upcoming school year.
Tribe Day for sophomores and freshmen is scheduled the following day – Thursday, July 31 – from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in the North Gym.
On Friday, the RHS Administration Office will be open with the teaching staff also returning to campus.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, freshmen as well as new students will go through the orientation session spearheaded by upperclassmen in Link Crew, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the North Gym/
Link Crew leaders will look to engage the newcomers in several ice-breaking activities and share information to help them through that first year at RHS.
River Island High
Freshmen orientation at River Island High is Friday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
According to Principal Carey Simoni, the first-year group will meet on the football field before moving indoors.
“We will have the staff gathered beforehand in the morning,” she said.
The day will include orientation for seniors, juniors, and sophomores held indoors from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
