Ripon is gearing up for Porchfest 2024.
This neighborhood party is where homeowners open up their front porches to serve as stages for local bands, and is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3, from noon to 5 p.m.
Last year’s Ripon Porchfest – the first-ever – featured 24 homes used as staging areas for a variety of local bands.
Neighbors and local music fans can again walk or ride bicycles from house to house while enjoying these mini-concerts.
According to the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, this annual event is great for meeting neighbors, picnicking, and exploring their local music scene – Porchfest is a free, family-friendly afternoon full of music and camaraderie.
Porchfest is a collaboration between the local Chamber of Commerce, Ripon Police Department, and Greet Ripon Magazine, and as a part of “Unity in Our Community.”
“The Unity in Our Community events focusing on enhancing community partnerships while preserving Ripon’s unique atmosphere and safety by inviting the public to participate with RPD staff and community members leading up to National Night Out,” said Chamber on its website.
NNO will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
