Residents of the City of Ripon continued to be mindful on water conservation.
Public Works Director James Pease noted that at the Dec. 9 Ripon City Council meeting.
He said water usage was down 15 percent from last month, using the November 2014 ground water levels to make his baseline comparison.
That same comparison from last month as applied to a year ago was even more impressive – water usage was down 24 percent during that 12-month span.
All properties within the City of Ripon are currently on a once-a-week watering schedule.
This means that those with even numbered addresses are allowed to water landscaping on Saturdays while those with odd numbered homes can do likewise on Sundays.
No watering is allowed on Mondays or anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
