For the past year, Jason Winter has served as president of the Ripon Unified school board.
He’s the Area 1 Trustee representative.
At today’s 7 p.m. monthly session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave., Winter and Area 4 Trustee Caroline Hutto, who is the board vice president, will be part of the Reorganization / Election of Officer held annually at this time of year.
Hutto has had several go-arounds as board president while Winter is completing his first time in the top chair.
Trustees will have the option of selecting a new president, vice president, and clerk – Area 5 board representative Harpal Chandar served as clerk this past year – and the appointment of secretary, which traditionally goes to the RUSD superintendent, in this case, Rusty Clark, during the reorganization of the board.
In other agenda items:
· Board members will hear presentations by James Marta & Company LLP Certified Accounts on the audit report along with the latest happenings at Park View Elementary School.
· They’ll conduct a public hearing on RUSD Energy Efficiency Project following the committee recommendation of the information item.
· Trustees are scheduled to take action on a resolution that calls for increasing fees on Development Projects and consider approving RUSD needs analysis on school facilities fees, level 2.
