The City of Ripon currently has the Draft 6th Housing Element Update available for public viewing and comments, from now through Friday Aug. 16.

California Government Code requires all local governments to plan for housing needs at all income levels.

In Ripon, the Housing Element Update consists of the following:

·         Goals, policies, and actions to address the current and projected housing needs.

·         Inventory of sites suitable to accommodate the housing needs allocation as of 2023 through 2031.

·         Assessment of financial and programmatic resources for housing development, rehabilitation, and preservation.

·         Analysis of fair housing issues and constraints.

Those looking to review the Housing Element Update can do so online at www.cityofripon.org/housingelement; in print at Ripon City Hall Planning Department; or a printed copy at the Ripon Branch Library, 333 W. Main St.
