The Ripon City Council Tuesday accepted the work completed by American Pavement Systems on the South of Main Street Resurfacing Project.
No discussion was necessary as elected leaders authorized the filing of a Notice of Completion with retention to be paid 35 days after recording of the notice.
The project consisted of resurfacing of various streets near Vera Avenue, Fourth Street, Seventh Street, and Robert Avenue.
“The South of Main Street Resurfacing Project is complete and in substantial conformance with our Plans and Specification,” said the staff report from the monthly session.
American Pavement Systems, a Modesto-based construction company, was awarded the bid for the project last April.
The retention of $102,458 will be paid via the Street & Road Operating Fund, Street & Road Reconstruction Fund, and the Water Enterprise Capital Fund.
Council members have long made road improvements in town one of their priorities.
