A car collided into a home during the weekend.

During the past weekend, the Lathrop Police Department arrested a 28-year-old Stockton woman following a morning vehicle collision at a home near the intersection of Noel Street and Somoa Lane.

There were no injuries to residents of the house, in particular, inside the impacted room at the time of the collision.

Officers, who responded to the scene and via an investigation, determined that the driver, Alexis Nicole Castellon, was driving while under the influence. She was arrested for DUI.

It was also determined that her driver’s license was previously suspended and that she was on probation for a prior DUI-related offense, local police noted.

Castellon was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

Police said that recent rains created hazardous driving conditions throughout the area, adding that “driver are reminded to reduce speed, remain attentive, and make responsible decisions when operating a vehicle.”

Lathrop police, on Monday, reported seizing a loaded firearm along with drugs and cash during a traffic stop.

At about 10 a.m., Officer Jonathan Syler stopped a vehicle on Harlan Road near Save Mart after he noticed that the car registration had been expired since 2022.

He found the driver to be in possession of a loaded handgun along with marijuana and a large amount of cash.

The vehicle was towed. The driver was cited and released.
