There are roughly 100 commemorative bricks still available for placing in the plaza in front of American Legion Post 249 at 220 Yosemite Ave. in downtown Manteca.
The post has placed more than 80 bricks already.
The bricks are $200 each. They are being sold to create a fund for ongoing maintenance of the hall that last year reopened after more than a $1 million remodeling project.
Each brick has three lines with each line having up to 15 characters.
Bricks do not have to honor specific veterans. They could, for example, carry a company’s name with a message thanking veterans.
For more information on the bricks, contact George Terry at (209) 823-5665 or Richard Silverman at (209) 923-3354.
