Three Ripon High students are among the 22 recipients for the 2026 Nelson Zane Four-Year Awards.
The San Joaquin County Office of Education Thursday announced that Band members Kari Marshall and Kaylee Randall, and Emilie Valles in Orchestra are receiving this honor for their participation in the High School Honors Concert series for the past four years.
They’ll once again be among the talented student-musicians group taking part in Saturday’s Choir, Band, and Orchestra performances at Delta College.
The Honors Concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Delta Center for the Arts, Warren Atherton Auditorium, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton.
Included will be 300 students (108 choir, 92 band, and 100 orchestra) from 20 schools in nine school districts throughout the county.
Over 430 students auditioned for the special event organized by the SJOCE Student Engagement and the Arts department back in the fall.
Guest conductors for the performances will be Elisha Wells (Fresno City College) for Honors Band, Kory Reid (Fog City Singers) for Honors Choir, and Ryan Murray (Sacramento State) for Honors Orchestra.
The concert event is free and open to the public.
This is the first of two SJCOE performances – the second one is the Middle School Honors Concert scheduled for Saturday, March 7.
