Walk for Autism, Dining for Hope to help kids set for April 18; Legion dinner is April 16

The Walk for Autism takes place Saturday, April 18, at Sierra High, 1700 Thomas St.

The entire community is invited to support Autism acceptance and awareness.

Gates open at 1 p.m. followed by a ceremony at 1:15 p.m.
The walk starts at 1:30 p.m. The event ends at 3 p.m.

The free event is for all ages for participants to walk with other autism families.

There will be free refreshments.

There also will be food trucks and vendors

All proceeds from the event benefits local children with Autism through the efforts of Manteca Moms Supporting Kids with ASD in partnership with Manteca Recreation & Community Services.

Dining for Hope

The fourth annual Dining for Hope event to help raise funds for local children with cancer and debilitating diseases takes place on Saturday, April 18.

This year it is Bingo Luau Style at the MRPS Hall, 133 Grant St., in Manteca starting at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are $30 per person and must be pre-purchased by April 14.

It includes eight games of bingo, lunch, drinks, dessert, and door prizes.

Tickets will not be sold at the door.

You are asked to bring a dauber but some will be available.

No one under 18 will be admitted.

Legion drive thru dinner

American Legion Post 249 is conducting a Texas Roadhouse drive thru/take out dinner on Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the post hall in the 200 block of East Yosemite.

The cost is $30 per dinner.

Dinners are presale only.
