The construction crew continued work Wednesday afternoon on The Terraces at Bethany Home.

The Terraces at Bethany Home is a major construction project currently taking place in Ripon.

Ground breaking began in early June on this expansion of Bethany Home, a premiere religious-based retirement community which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.

Work on the three-story, 104,700 square-foot building is being spearheaded by Quiring of Pleasanton.

The construction crew continued work Wednesday amid the threat of weather on the 2.73-acre property at Main Street and Vera Avenue.

The Terraces at Bethany Home, once completed – the hope is for residents to move in by 2025 – will offer those age 62 and older with a village-style residential living community in the heart of the Central Valley.

It’ll feature 82 residential units consisting of three studio apartments, 46 one-bedroom, and 33 two-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 475 to 1,235 square feet.

Among the features will be a lobby, formal dining room, café bistro, library, fitness / wellness center, media room, and multipurpose meeting & event hall rooms, to name a few.

Plans also call for the Bethany Home facility to have landscaped garden and courtyard coupled with other outdoor amenities.

Bethany Home was established by Ripon area churches and community leaders to offer  “a Christian home for the aged and those needing particular nursing and rest care due to infirmity or caused by illness.

Today there are more than 400 residents living  at four Bethany housing complexes plus a 43-bed residential care facility for the elderly.
