All proceeds for the current yard sale at the Raymus House, 520 Union Road, will benefit HOPE Family Shelter.
So says the Interim Program Director Barbara Goode on Thursday morning.
While HOPE has a broad base of support within the community and continues to be blessed with involvement of several local churches, fundraising efforts such as the yard sale helps in providing shelter services.
The yard sale kicked off on Thursday and will continue through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Included are new and gently-used clothes along with other items. Youngsters will be helping out selling lemonade at the front gate.
Donations are also being accepted. Call 209.594.4507 for information.
The Raymus House is an emergency shelter servicing women and children who have been displaced for up to 60 to 90 days.
The family shelters are about renewing hope and rebuilding lives.
Services to homeless and low-income families, according to HOPE Ministries – a nonprofit, faith-based organization – are there to help “cultivate self-respect, self-reliance, and spiritual direction in order to strengthen families, individuals, and the community.”
