What will be Yosemite Avenue’s 10th used car dealer is before the Manteca Planning Commission Thursday.

The commission is considering a year’s extension for a previously approved used car lot at 816 and 820 West Yosemite.

Both parcel are currently vacant.

The project on 0.3 acres also includes a 480-square-foot sales office, off-street parking, and landscaping.

It is two doors to the east of an existing used car lot at Walnut Street and Yosemite.

Between the two are a house and a golf cart sales business.

Single family homes are to the east, south, and north of the proposed car sales lot.

It will be the sixth used car sales lot — if you include Cabral Motors’ offerings — in a three block area of West Yosemite. A seventh dealership is on West Yosemite by the tracks on the edge of downtown.

A fourth North Main Street used car lot has been approved behind La Estrella taqueria and adjacent to the Waffle House.

The proposed used car lot on West Yosemite will be the subject of a public hearing at the Aug. 21 planning commission meeting that starts at 6 p.m.
