The 2025 Animal Shelter Olympics return this Saturday at 9 a.m. at Lathrop’s River Park South Dog Park.

Featured will be dogs from the various shelters, including Tracy Animal Shelter, Turlock, Animal Shelter, Manteca Animal Shelter, and host Lathrop Animal Shelter.

The event, which is a collaboration between the Lathrop Police Department and the Lathrop Animal Shelter, will be held at the River Park South Dog Park, 1780 Passage Way, Lathrop.

The games will kick off with a passing of the torch featuring the several police chiefs.

Each of the dogs will have the chance to showcase their skills and ability, from obedience and agility to high jumping.

“We encourage everyone to come out to cheer and support our furry friends – together, we can make a positive impact on our community and these wonderful animals,” said the Manteca Police Department via social media on Monday.

Each of the dogs, in addition, will be available for adoption after the event.
