Several warrant arrests were made by the Manteca Police Department while conducting a warrant sweep on Saturday.
The emphasis of the operation was to arrest suspects with outstanding felony and misdemeanor traffic warrants that included DUI (driving under the influence) or other serious traffic violations. It also evaluated probationers contacted for indications they were in violation of the terms and conditions of their probations.
The following activity resulted from the Saturday warrant sweep operation:
•114 warrant service attempts
•4 warrant arrests (2 for driving under a suspended license or DUI, one DUI, and one for driving on a suspended license for failure to appear
•2 other arrests (2 for possession of methamphetamine, and one for a Manteca Municipal Code (MMC) violation
Funding for the above program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
