Zaiba Fazli had plenty of cash for her eighth-grade promotion event at Mossdale Elementary School.
She sported a graduation lei adorn with $5 bills and larger at the special event held Wednesday in the school’s Multi-Purpose Building.
Fazli was one of 93 students earning promotion certifications from the Manteca Unified School District.
They were presented to the school board by Principal Susan Sanders.
The ceremony kicked off with student council vice president Olive Magaipo leading in the flag salute and president Bernice Vilches providing the student speech.
Vice Principal Rita Granderson was on hand to announce the top award winners.
