Olympic gold medalists coming to Manteca
USA Softball players staging skills clinic at BLD April 9-10

Eight Olympic Gold Medalist USA softball players are instructing a two-day skills clinic April 9-10 over spring break at Big League Dreams.
Mayhem Fastpitch of Manteca is hosting the clinic that costs $195 per player. The clinic runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day with lunch included. Discounts are available for teams of 10 players or more.
Area girls who would like to participate have a chance to get the clinic fee waved if they are one of two winners of an essay contest.
They need to write an essay on what softball means to them and how USA Softball has influenced them.
The essays are due by this Friday, Jan. 15. They need to be sent to Mayhem Fastpitch, c/o Brian Johnson, PO Box 1472, Manteca, CA, 95336.
Instructors who have confirmed that they will be participating in the clinic so far are Laura Berg, Jamie Clark, Andrea Duran, Lori Harrigan, Caitlin Lowe, Lauren Lappin, Jessica Mendoza, and Emily Zapalotsch.
