Grand offers special exhibit featuring more than 30 artists

TRACY – The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts presents a special exhibition for the holiday season entitled Art Co-Opted, on display in the Grand Galleries from Nov. 22 thru Dec. 20.

An Artist Meet-n-Greet and Opening Reception is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22 from noon to 2 p.m.

This exhibition is part of Holidays at the Grand, a package of seasonal programming at the Center. Following the Artist Meet-n-Greet is Merry Madness, a holiday shopping event held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring discounts on purchases and class registrations. All of these associated events are open to the public.

Over 30 artists and lenders will be featured in the Grand Galleries. Original artwork, limited editions, jewelry, pottery, and artist-designed products are unique gifts available at prices ranging from $5 to $500 through Dec. 20.

Featured artists include: Pam Ackles, Zarmine Aghazarian, Judy Altamirano, Richard Bepristis, Jane Burns, Frank Cameron, Randy Crimmel, Lino Giovacchini, Don Hall, Jeff Haws, Angela Johal, Anné Klint, Mark Knize, Judy Mae Mulleague, Abhilasha Natarajan, Hope Rovelto, Susan Richardson, Pat Sanchez, Yelena Serebryakova, Henrietta Sparkman, Joan Stewart, Vince Walsh, and Ken & Mira Woodworth.

The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts is a unique interdisciplinary arts center offering professional and community-based fine arts programming through arts education, exhibitions, and performances of all kinds. The Center, owned and operated by the City of Tracy, has averaged over 45,000 visitors per year since opening in the 2007. The Grand Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) fundraising and community partner of the facility.

Free parking is available on nearby streets and public lots at 6th Street and Central Avenue. Patron drop-off and pick-up is conveniently available at the loading zone on Central Avenue. Tours are available. Private Gallery Talks can be arranged.
