George Perry & Sons – one of the West Coast’s biggest shippers of watermelons and pumpkins – are featured on the cover of the July/August edition of California Country.

The six-page spread in the California Farm Bureau Federation magazine focuses on how 14 extended family members from three generations work side-by-side in a business started 90 years ago by D.V. Perry. The Manteca operation grew from a roadside produce stand in the 1920s along Highway 99 not far from where the company’s yard is located on Frontage Road north of Lathrop Road.
