Ripon High getting new LED scoreboard

RIPON — PG&E is providing an $87,000 grant and company volunteers to help upgrade Ripon High’s athletic stadium.

The partnership with the Ripon Community Athletic Foundation is being unveiled today during a beautification effort and short program taking place at Stouffer Field.

The PG&E grant will be used to purchase a state-of-the-art double-sided LED scoreboard for football games. It will allow motorists along Highway 99 to see the score of the game as well as fans in the stadium that is being renovated

Ripon students and PG&E volunteers will plant three trees and conduct weed abatement today from 9:30  to 11:30 a.m. in honor of National Arbor Day. Activities include the unveiling of the architectural design and rendering at 11 a.m.
