Runners and walkers alike have two opportunities to participate in fun runs this Saturday while helping youth sports.

The sixth annual Manteca Unified Student Trust Pumpkin Run is Saturday in downtown Manteca. At the same time, Almond Valley Chiropractic and Fleet Feet of Stockton are staging a fun run on the opening day of the Dell’Osso Farms corn maze in Lathrop on Saturday.

MUST helps underwrite after-school sports for junior high-aged students in Manteca, Lathrop, and Weston Ranch as well as science camp and other endeavors such as school farm projects. The Dell’Osso run will raise money for Lathrop youth sports.

Advance registration has closed for the Pumpkin Run that features a mile and 5K course along the Tidewater Bikeway.

Registration is near Center Street and Elm Avenue starting at 7 a.m. The mile run is at 8 a.m. and the 5K run is at 8:30 a.m. with awards at 10 a.m.

Race day registration is $25 with no T-shirt guaranteed. An entry form is available at www.sunrisekiwanis.org by clicking Pumpkin Fair.

The corn maze race registration at the Manthey Road and Interstate 5 Dell’Osso Farms starts at 7 a.m. Saturday. The mile is at 9 a.m. and the 5K at 9:30 a.m.

Race day registration is $10 for adults and $7 for kids 12 and under.

This will be a timed event and prizes awarded as follows: $25 to the overall male and female winners, medals to the top three in each of the following divisions: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, and Masters.

T-shirts will be availale on site. Choose your size, color and design. Prices vary.

Haunted house/corn maze combo admission for only $8 is available for race participants with proof of race participation.

These races benefit Lathrop youth sports.
