RIPON — If it is not broke, do not fix it.Coming off of a Southern League championship with a 14-1 league mark and a 21-12 record overall, Ripon Christian coach Jocelyn Benziger kept the same variety in the summer workouts she has in the past.“We did a couple of different things this summer,” Benziger said. “We continued our open gyms and conditioning like we always have and hopefully everyone will get used to the way I do things, which might be a little different then they are used to.“We had an optional third day each week where we focused on the different positions, offering as much as we could for the kids that wanted to be here.”The Knights made it to the semifinals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division V tournament which landed them a slot in the NorCal playoffs. “We have a really cool community that likes to do a lot of stuff over the summer,” Benziger said.
