A new scoreboard awaits the Ripon High baseball program.On Monday, the Ripon Unified school board is expected to take a step forward by awarding the lowest bid for the project made possible via donations.Trustees, in this case, could give that nod to JHK Construction, Inc. The Escalon firm, if approved, would handle the installation of the scoreboard.Action on this and more will take place at the 7 p.m. open session inside the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.The bid here came in at $68,500. But district officials are indicating up to $20,000 in additional cost, including an inspection of record and testing lab as required by the Division of the State Architect.
