Tracy Trees are newcomers to Manteca.

The Christmas trees are grown in the Oregon ranch belonging to Kirk Tracy of Oakdale and delivered to some of the Central Valley locations including the one in the 1300 block of East Yosemite Avenue.

“I love this location,” said manager Danielle Mitchell last Tuesday.

For the past three years, she’s worked for the Tracy Trees, including the Wilson Way location in Stockton during the previous year.

Tracy Trees has been in operation for 40 years, according to Mitchell, with lots also in Modesto and Turlock.

The Wilson Way location was moved to Manteca. “We still have a (Christmas tree) lot in Stockton,” she said.

Mitchell manages a four-member crew. Together, they offer plenty of services, from custom flocking to carrying the tree out to the customer’s car. Mistletoes, cider, hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts are also available at the site.

As for stock, her tree lot offers Noble – the always popular selection – along with Douglas, Nordmann and Grand firs, and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Mitchell indicated that the lot will remain in operation during the holidays or until her stock sells out.

And if the first few days are any indication, that could be sooner rather than later.

“We opened on Thanksgiving and we we’ve been kept pretty busy,” Mitchell said.
