PRESBYTERIAN: All are welcome this Sunday at Manteca Presbyterian Church for the 10 a.m. worship service. Anne Talcott will lead the Praise Team and direct the choir in our opening songs. Come hear Pastor Wendy Warner’s sermon titled, “Completed Joy!” I wonder what that would feel like. Our service is followed by a time of refreshments. Come join the fellowship. UNITED LUTHERAN: Join us Sunday, October 23, for the traditional service at 8 a.m. and or the contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday’s sermon title is “The Fugitive.” Nursery care is available for children 6 months to 6 years old. Sunday School is at 9:15 a.m. On Wednesdays we have a Divine Communion Worship Service at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. CALVARY COMMUNITY: This Sunday at Calvary we continue the study on the book of Matthew with “Preparing for Death – Part 2” using scripture references from Matthew 26:17-35.

Everyone is welcome to join us every Thursday to Pray 4 Manteca. This weekly prayer group is open to anyone. It’s held each Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Modular Room 401. Its duration is one hour but is also designed for those who may only be able to stay for ten minutes. It gives people an opportunity to stop and call on God for the challenges they face in their respective areas of life and work.

PLACE OF REFUGE: We’re looking forward to an eventful week at The Place of Refuge; We’d love to see you at 486 Button Avenue, this Sunday at 10 a.m. for corporate worship. Nursery care will be provided for infants and children in preschool through 6th grade can have fun and learn more of God’s word in Kids on the Rise and Mega Kids’ Ministries. Come discover your place and purpose in life as Pastor Mike continues his series “Finding Your Gift for Service.” Wednesday the 26th is our annual Family Harvest Party, come at 5 p.m. for a family style spaghetti dinner fundraiser catered by De Vinci’s.  Tickets are only $7 for adults and $5 for children, and include a full meal. The Harvest Party begins at 6:30 p.m., the price of admission is 1 bag of candy. Get ready for plenty of games and candy. There will be a “toddler zone,” so bring the whole family. Costumes are welcome, but no scary ones, please. This Friday, October 28, Young at Heart will be meeting at Perko’s Café at 6 p.m. for “Dinner with Friends,” come share a meal and get to know us! The Heavenly Holiday Tea is fast approaching. This elegant, candlelit ladies only event will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from the silent and live auctions will go to support projects benefiting women and children in the United States and around the world.
