ATWATER (AP) — Authorities say an Atwater official who was yelling about the price of a milkshake at a Foster's Freeze shop is facing a misdemeanor charge after he challenged a bystander who tried to intercede to a fight. The Merced Sun-Star reports that Atwater Mayor Pro Tem Craig Mooneyham is accused of disturbing the peace in connection with the Jan. 26 incident. He was charged on Monday.
