A 4 a.m. car stop on Louise Boulevard Monday just south of East Louise Avenue yielded two arrests and the recovery of a Manteca vehicle that had been taken on Sunday, according to Manteca Police.

Driver Edwin Rahim Moreno Jr., 39, of Manteca, was arrested for auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and for possession of burglary tools along with having a felony warrant out for his arrest relating to drug possession, officers said.

The 1989 Toyota Camry was towed until it could be returned to its owner.

A passenger in the vehicle, Joshua Michael Silver, 22, of Manteca, was charged with auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.  Since he was already on parole, authorities placed Silver on a parole hold.

Also on Monday was a report of the Golden West School office and teachers’ lounge being broken into during the nighttime hours and burglaries of several motor homes in the city.
