Born on May 5, 1932, in Chak 461, Punjab, British India, Ajit Grewal passed away at home in Hathur, India on January 3, 2026.

   After leaving Pakistan in 1947, and residing in Baddowal for two years, he had lived and worked in Hathur as a farmer and lambardar (village headman) for most of his life. In 2007, he moved closer to family in Delhi, California before coming to Manteca in 2012.

   Ajit is preceded by his wife, Gian, and parents Isar and Naranjan. He is survived by his younger siblings Sarjit, Pavitar, and Bhajan. He also leaves behind children; Nirmal, Pritpal, and Gurdeep, as well as four loving grand-children and seven great-grandchildren.
