Alan was the head Golf Professional at the Manteca Park Golf course for the past 40 years.
   He cared deeply for his family, friends and his devoted staff.  What many do not know about Alan is his great love of animals, rescuing everything from squirrels, ducks, jack rabbits, fish, turtles, dogs and cats and even two ferrets.
   Alan is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Marjie, his daughter April, son Alan Patrick, older brother Ron, and younger brother Frank, grandchildren Alan Ray and Emily Jane Claveran.
   There will be a private burial service.
A celebration of life to be held March 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Chez Shari at the Manteca Golf Course.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alan’s memory to Pets and Pals of Lathrop or Hospice of San Joaquin.
