Alan's commitment to his family was truly unparalleled. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty, with whom he shared the joys and challenges of life. Alan leaves behind a legacy of four sons; William Tahran, Richard (Veronica) Gomes, Shane (Liz) Tahran, and Alan (Megan) Tahran, Jr.. He is also survived by his brother, Stan Buck. His impact extends even further as the proud grandfather of six and great-grand father to four. Alan's family was the center of his world, and his love for them was immeasurable. He took great joy in watching his family grow and flourish, providing support, guidance, and, most importantly, unconditional love.
Alan dedicated his time to volunteering at local prisons, sharing his experiences and wisdom to inspire positive change in the lives of those seeking redemption. His compassionate heart and genuine desire to make a difference left an indelible impact on the lives of many.
A pillar of strength in the recovery community, Alan was a devoted friend of Bill W. and an active member of Celebrate Recovery. His journey of sobriety and resilience served as an inspiration to others facing similar challenges. Alan's willingness to share his story and offer support demonstrated his unwavering commitment to helping those on the path to recovery.
As we mourn the loss of Alan Gene Tahran, Sr., let us also celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his journey. May his spirit live on in the cherished memories and the enduring love he shared with family and friends.
