Babette Janine Bowen, 64, passed away peacefully at home on December 14, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born on April 30, 1961, Babette made her home in Turlock, California, for the last few years, where she continued to build a life centered on family, laughter, and love.

   Babette was a devoted and deeply loving mother and grandmother, roles she cherished  above all else. She had a funny, sarcastic sense of humor that could light up a room and make even the hardest days a little easier. She loved reading and was always eager to learn or escape into a good book. Babette believed in staying active and lived life in motion; whether it was boxing, taking her long morning walks, or simply staying busy, she was always doing something and rarely sat still.

   She is survived by her daughters, Katrina Lea Godbey (Brandon), Sarah Quintal (Jacob), and Brittany Marques; her son, Kyle Cozad (Stephany); her mother, Helen Yost; her brother, Wade Yost; her sister, Latisha Foster (Alan); and her beloved grandchildren, Penelope Cozad, Harvey Cozad, Hunter Westerman, Memphis Westerman, and Kane Westerman, who brought her endless joy.

   Babette was preceded in death by her father, Roy Albert Yost, and her son-in-law, Patrick Marques.

   A memorial service celebrating Babette’s life will be held on December 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service, 286 West Main Street, Turlock, California 95380.  

   Babette will be remembered for her strength, her humor, her active spirit, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to her family. She was the heart of our family and will be deeply missed every day.
