Bernardo “Benny” Gonzales Sr., entered into rest on January 14, 2022 in Manteca, CA. He was born in Arizona on February 7, 1943.
   He is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca and his sons, Robert “Bobby” Gonzales and Benjamin Gonzales. He was 78 years old.
   Mr. Gonzales is survived by his children, Robin Knab, Delfina Gonzales and Juan Gonzales, siblings, Lupe Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales and Lawrence Gonzales.  In addition, Benny is survived by many grandchildren and great- grandchildren who he dearly loved.  
   Benny was a resident of Manteca for over 70 years. He was an Army veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW post 6311. Benny was well known in the community for his landscaping business “Benny Gonzales Yard Service” where he served many clients over the course of 50 years. Benny had a soft heart for animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed watching old movies and spending time with his grandchildren; they were the joy of his life. Benny will be remembered for his huge heart, his caring demeanor and his impeccable work ethic. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Gonzales family. A celebration of life will be held on his birthday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00  a.m. visitation will begin at 10:00  a.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Rebecca at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Rd., Escalon, CA.
