Betty Brock, 79, passed away on February 17, 2022, surrounded by her son and daughter in her hometown of Manteca, where she resided for the past 63 years.
She joins her beloved husband, Gary, in heaven. She is survived by her daughter Samria (Mark) Faria of Oakdale, and her son, Jeff Brock, of Manteca. She was a devoted grandmother to her surviving grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Faria, Ashley (Chris) Avila, Courtney (Trevor) Carter, Jeff (April) Brock, Amy Brock, Jamie Brock, and Ryan Brock and was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Pepper Renee Brock. She was blessed with nine great- grandchildren, Blair, Katy-Jo, Payton, Riley, Zander, Ethan, Aiden, Mikey, and Logan.
She grew up one of 11 children of the late Russell and Audrey Cross. Betty worked with her husband at Morris Automotive. She later went back to college to earn a certificate in Business which led to her working for Modesto City Schools for 15 years as a payroll technician. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed traveling with family and going to Lake Tahoe and playing her favorite slot machines. She and her husband also frequented many classic car shows. Their home was always open to family and friends. Betty’s love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was extremely special. She never missed a game or event and was always supportive of all their endeavors. They will all miss her dearly.
