Carolyn M. Hill went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2025. She was born on April 11, 1935 in Lux, Mississippi. In the late 40’s moved to Washington, then to California in the late 50’s.

   She worked various jobs in the area, Tracy Hospital, Tracy Medical Center, Sharpe Army Depot, and had her own sewing business after retirement.  She had a great deal of love for God and people. She was an active member of Calvary Community Church in Manteca.

   She combined her love of sewing, which she began at the age of 8, with her love of charity work. She made numerous ragdolls, clothes, and quilts for various organizations. She enjoyed making baby quilts the most which totaled 5000 that are in 34 countries & 14 of the states in the U.S. She did volunteer work at Hope Family Shelter, Haven of Peace, Pregnancy Help Center, The Commons, Prestige.

   Carolyn is survived by her children, Jim Robeson, Ann (Bennett) Waite all of Tracy, CA. Stepchildren, Joe (Carolyn Lou) Hill of Grover Beach, CA, Jo Anne Hill of Stockton, CA. Siblings, Velma Davies of Marietta, GA, Cliff (Ginger) Garner of Bartow, FL, Pauline (Phil) McCulloch of Central Point, OR. Grandchildren, Jason Waite of Tracy, CA, Tracy Hill, Aaron Hill of Stockton, CA, Eric Hill of Pismo Beach, CA.

   She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Hill, parents, Grover and Tessie Garner, brother, Leonard Garner, and stepson, Dennis Hill.

   Services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave, Tracy. She will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery in French Camp, CA at a later date.
