Damon Lewis Covalt
July 6, 1966-October 17, 2016
Damon Covalt K

Damon Lewis Covalt, 50, entered into Heaven unexpectedly on Monday, October 17, 2016 in Stockton, California. He was born on July 6, 1966 to the late Ferrel and Joan Covalt in Berkley. He joins his parents as well as siblings, Jeff, Rocco and Dominic Covalt.
Damon leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Sherry Covalt of Stockton; his children, Christina Scheffler (Kaleb) of Loomis, Jessica Sanchez (Javier) of Stockton, Danyell Parayno (Mark) of Stockton and Damon Russell Covalt of Stockton. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Kaley Jacobo, Mikah Scheffler, Elijah Scheffler, Veronica Sanchez, Xavier Sanchez, Zachariah Sanchez, Nicolas Parayno and Christian Parayno. In addition, he leaves behind five siblings, Kim Harris, Ferrelee Covalt, Paula Covalt, Darien Kraczkowski and Tiffany Retzlaff. Damon was a Stockton resident but he grew up in the Contra Costa area. After moving to San Leandro, God led him to his wife, Sherry. Damon was a Pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lathrop where he was loved dearly by his church family. Not a soul met him without salvation addressed and a prayer before they left. He is remembered for his love of God and a smile and personality that resembled so. His family meant the world to him and he never let a moment of time with them pass without thanking God for each person in it and the blessing of it.
Damon was the MVP of every company he ever worked for and was often known for being the Boss that everyone could turn to, not only to vent but to pray with. He was a planner and provider by all means, and yet, had the time to stop and be silly with each grandchild anytime he saw them. God truly gained a good one with Damon and his loved ones can’t think of anyone more deserving of being rewarded with Heaven. He will be tremendously loved and missed. Until we meet again in the Glory land... Amen.
P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Covalt family.  Services will be held on October 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, located at 118 Neal St., Pleasanton, CA.
