Edith Mae Tillema (Edie) went home to her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2023 at the age of 85.

   Edie was born in Grand Rapids, MI and as a young child her family moved to Chicago. She lived in the suburbs of Chicago until 1967 when she and her husband along with four sons moved to California.

   She was preceded in death by her husband John Tillema Sr., her oldest son, John Jr. as well as her parents Richard and Anna Petersen.  She is survived by her sister Patricia Odell (Gary) as well as three sons and four daughters-in-law; John Jr. (deceased) and Penny, Kirk and Kelli, Mike and Tammy, Mark and Vicki.  She is also survived by three loving

nephews and 11 grandchildren; Ryan, Kelsey Bousema (Jordan), Landon (Tiffany), Aron (Sara), Trevor, Carly Alsum (Michael), Zach, Nathan (Kelsey), Bryson, Cade and Prestin as well as five great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her family. Spending time in the presence of her family brought Edie the greatest joy.

   There will be a Celebration of Life service for Edie on Saturday, March 25th, at First Church in Ripon at 11:00  a.m.
