Mr. Garza leaves behind a beautiful family. His loving wife Mrs. Victoria Garza of 39 years; four children who adored their father; Ernesto Garza Jr. of Dublin, Elsa Murillo and husband Gregorio of Lathrop, Bianca Ayala and husband Juan of Stockton and Armando Garza and wife Mary Joe of Lathrop. Ernesto was blessed with 11 grandchildren; Alicia Garza, Thalia Garza, Ceci Ayala, Angelina Ayala, Macie Garza, Gregorio Murillo, Juan Ayala, Ivan Ayala, Ernesto Garza III, Liliana Murillo and Ariana Ayala. In addition Ernesto leaves 12 siblings.

Ernesto was a resident of Lathrop for over 25 years. In his younger years he worked for what is now known as Owens Corning Fiber Glass Company. He was one of the best bingo players ever known, described by himself.  He enjoyed going to any nearby flea markets and garage sales hoping to find his next best treasure. His family was his pride and joy. His wife Victoria was his best friend and love and accomplicee. Ernesto was especially proud of his children who he had great admiration for, but like every wonderful father he would always be thinking of the next exciting prank to play on them next, he knew they were the best sports! He held a special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren including Filo (his cat) who was considered a grandchild. His family describes him as greatest husband, father, grandfather, brother and none the less friend. Ernesto’s family will always remember him for his out spoken personality, his contagious laugh and these kind words, “Close the Door” or as he would say “ LA PUERTA”!. Ernesto will be missed by all who knew him.
