Fay "Beverly" Graves was born June 20, 1933 in San Jose, Ca. and passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023 in Sparks, NV. Her family moved to Modesto in 1948 where she graduated from Modesto High School in 1951. She married soon after, living in Stockton for several years then relocated to Manteca in 1964. She spent 56 years in the same house of which she took great pride in. She moved to Sparks in 2020 to be closer to family. She is proceeded in death by her parents; Charles and Waverley Colliver and sister Joyce Eddings. She is survived by her children; Nancy Laberdee (Tim), Janet Freitas and Dan Graves (Donna). grandchildren; Kelsey Goraya (Deep), Allen Carver, Elizabeth Emil (Carter) and great-grandchildren Niko and Kian. Beverly was involved in Boy Scouts as a Den Mother and many Girl Scout projects. She retired from the Spreckles Sugar factory in 1996 when it closed after spending 25 years there. She spent endless hours working in her garden. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Ladies Red Hat Society. Above all, she loved animals and always had a dog and or cat. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Canine Companions for Independent Living or the SPCA/ Humane Society. A Celebration of Life will be Friday, April 7th, at 1:00 p.m. at Walton's Mortuary, 600 W. Second St., Reno, NV. Manteca (Calif.) Bulletin Saturday, April 1, 2023
