Frank Viera obit

Frank R. Vieira left for heaven peacefully on July 30th, 2025, in Saint George, Utah at the age of 88. Frank was born in Manteca on September 16, 1936, to the late John F. and Minnie Solus Vieira, and made Manteca his home until 2018.

Frank worked his father's dairy at a young age in South Manteca, attended San Joaquin Elementary School and was a graduate of Manteca High School class of 1955.  Frank married his high school sweetheart, Lillian Brazil, on November 3rd, 1957, and they were happily married for 67 years. He worked at the Manteca Cannery as a forklift operator where he was proud to be their best. Frank then worked for many years as a superintendent for Raymus Construction helping build Manteca prior to his retirement.

Frank was a kind soul who enjoyed woodworking, deep sea fishing, riding his motorcycle, traveling in his RV,  but spending time with family made him the happiest. Frank also taught so many things to so many people. You could always find Frank in the stands either watching his grandsons play baseball where everyone fondly called him "grandpa" or the local racetracks to watch his daughter race.

Frank worked & lived his life in Manteca until 2018 when he moved with family to St George, Utah where he fell in love with the mountains. Frank loved his family with his whole heart, hugging them upon arrival & upon leaving. Frank was a very caring, hardworking, honest and loving man whom everyone adored and loved.

Frank is survived by his wife, Lillian, daughter Teresa and her husband Tim of St. George, grandsons Seth & wife Kellie of Salinas and Wade & wife Jordan of Brentwood, 6 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Nolan, Brylinn, Kynslie, Arlytt and Barrett. Frank will be missed by family, friends and all who crossed his path.

Frank’s Celebration of his Life will be held at Chez Shari, located at 305 E Union Road in Manteca, on August 28, at 11:00 a.m.. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Manteca Mural Society or the Manteca Historical Society.
