Garrett Reed Casey, 26, entered into rest on May 27, 2018 in Reno, NV. He was born on December 22, 1991 in Monterey, CA.
   He is preceded in death by his best friend and brother Lewis Casey who he missed tremendously. Garrett is also preceded in death by his grandpa Gus Baides and his grandparents Lewis and Nancy Casey.
   He is survived by his family, mom and step-dad Danielle and Troy Coleman, father David Casey, sister Savannah Casey, grandma Linda Smith and nieces Alyssa and Emily, as well as many other extended family members who loved him dearly.
   Garrett grew up in Manteca where he graduated from Manteca High School in 2010. After high school, Garrett went on to work at Costco in Tracy and  attended S.J. Delta College and the University of California Santa Barbara, majoring in communications. Garrett was a Junior at UCSB where he was a member of the Ski Team and Snow Club. Garrett was a thrill seeker who never stopped looking for new adventures with his many friends. Some of his favorite outings were wakeboarding, snowboarding, skateboarding, cliff jumping, hiking and boating. Garrett always set forth in doing his best at whatever came his way. He found a love for sky diving where he became a certified skydiver and found a passion for paintball where he excelled and met many friends. Garrett never met a stranger as he found interest in meeting new people, genuinely caring about the lives of others. Garrett was a wonderful brother and was always was the protector of Savannah and Lewis. He was an even more amazing uncle to his two nieces, Alyssa and Emily. Their bond was like no other. He was an incredible son and grandson whose unconditional love was always apparent through his affectionate fun loving heart. His dog Jax was his buddy, best friend and companion; Garrett always pursued the best for Jax and truly loved him like a son. He truly had the best balance of a masculine thrill seeker and loving funny sentimentalist. He always knew what to say with a loving heart during difficult times and his words on greeting cards were always beautifully written. Garrett will be remembered for his zest for life, his adventurous spirit and his love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
