George Louis Franklin, 69, entered into rest on May 29, 2012. He was born September 5, 1942 in Ranger, TX. He was a Manteca resident for 23 years.

George leaves behind his best friend and companion of 12 years, Beverly Housden. As well as his children: Michael Housden and wife Kelli residing in China, and Audra Cannon of Manteca. George was blessed with three grandchildren: Aaron Housden, Rebecca Cannon and Brandon Cannon and his sister, Peggy Brendel and husband Lee from Missouri.

George served his country proudly through the United States Navy.  He was a member of the Masons and  the Lion Club. George also owned a property management company for many years, Franklin Properties and was licensed with the Department of Real Estate.

George loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and spending time at the cabin in Mountain Ranch. He loved the company of his dogs, Bumper and Bella and listening to country music. He was a hardworking man and always put Beverly first. He will be greatly missed.

Arrangements for Mr. Franklin are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Rd., Manteca. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at the San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road, Gustine, CA on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2:00pm. A celebration of life will be held the same day from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Coldwell Banker Crossroads Real Estate, 319 N. Main Street, Manteca.
