It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Hartsill Lloyd Clark, who left this world peacefully on September 7, 2025 at the age of 92. Born on September 25, 1932, in Hunt Town, Arkansas to Huston and Senora Clark, Hartsill lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. He was known for his quick wit, generosity, and love of history and genealogy. He touched many lives through his teaching and coaching at Modesto High School and his devotion to his church, Central Valley Baptist in Manteca, CA.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Huston and Senora Clark, his sister Greta Henry, his wife of 69 years, Virginia and his son Brad Clark. Hartsill is survived by his three sons, Gary Clark of Ripon, Scott Clark (Donna) of Ripon, and Steve Clark (Kathleen) of Ripon.
Hartsill is also survived by ten grandchildren: Angela Willoughby (Jason), Jason Clark (Kristen), Dayna Moulyn (Andrew), Lisa DuBose (Scott), Brett Clark, Nathan Clark (Courtney), Matt Clark (Elise), Rilee Clark, Andrew Clark, and Mason Clark. He also had thirteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Ripon Cemetery located at 320 N. Stockton Ave., in Ripon, California.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 11a.m. at Central Valley Baptist Church, located at 17900 Comconex Rd., Manteca, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Central Valley Baptist Church.
