Helen Lucille Rothlin Rasor Sandoval  was born to the late Arnold and Ellen Gorman Rothlin in Salinas, CA January 27, 1927  and passed away in Manteca January 16, 2024.  Helen moved to Manteca with her parents when she was just 6 months old.  She attended Veritas Grammar School and graduated from Manteca High in 1945.

   Helen was a member of St Anthony’s Church and YLI (Young Ladies Institute).  She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Doctor’s Hospital for many years, and belonged to the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club, Manteca Historical Society, Manteca Garden Club and Manteca Doll Club.

   She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Jesse Rasor Jr. (20 years), her 2nd husband Anthony Sandoval (50 years), her daughter Diane Rasor, grandson Michael Hubbard, sons-in-law Frank Senn Jr and Alan Tahran Sr, and brother and sister-in-law Arnold and Laura Rothlin.

   She is survived by her daughters, Janet (David) Read, Patricia Tahran, Kathleen Senn, Margie (Joe) Cambra, eight grandchildren, Jason Read, Jeffrey Read, Richard (Veronica) Gomes, Alan (Megan) Tahran Jr, Kyle Moore, Danielle Turner, Gregory (Ashley) Medina, Marcus (Amy) Medina, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

   She was a compassionate and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.  Her family was the most important thing in her life and she loved them unconditionally.  Helen will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

   Donations in Helen’s name can be made to the Manteca Historical Society or the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Hall.

   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving Helen’s family. Visitation will be on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. to 

6:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca. Mass will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St. Manteca, Ca. She will be laid to rest at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
