Jack W. Brumley passed away quietly in his sleep at Prestige Senior Living in Manteca, CA, in the early morning of March 9, 2016.  Jack was born in Oklahoma in 1923, and was a resident of Lathrop, CA, for over 80 years.  Mr. Brumley was a graduate of Lathrop Grammer School.
   Jack married Ruby Percival of Tracy, CA, in 1942, and she preceded him in death in April of 2012 which ended a 70 year marriage. 
   Mr. Brumley joined the Army in 1942, and served his time of duty in the South Pacific Islands until the war ended.  After the war, Jack and Ruby settled in Lathrop where they built a home and had a family.  Lathrop was their home for most of their lives.  The Brumleys had four children: Tim Brumley of College City, CA, Andrea Jones of Grand Junction, CO, Terry Brumley of Roseburg, OR, and Melissa Costa of Elk Grove, CA, whom all survive their parents. They Brumleys were also blessed with 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
   Jack was preceded in death by his siblings Pauline Okerson of Oklahoma, Ruby Jane Cleveran of Lathrop, CA, Woodrow Brumley of Manteca, CA, Carmela Elliott of Manteca, CA, Ester Hind of Pacifica, CA. 
   Jack is survived by his four sisters Juanita Rea of French Camp, CA, Mary Jo Mathews of Manteca, CA, Joyce Gatto of Lathrop, CA and Evelyn Noak of Manteca, CA. 
   A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 11:30 a.m.. at Fry Memorial Chapel in Tracy, CA. 
The place of interment will be the Tracy Public Cemetery, where Mr. Brumley will be honored with a Veterans Tribute to his service in WWII for our country.  For condolences to the family, please visit www.frymemorialchapel.com
