James “Jim” Farley passed away peacefully on December 17, 2015 in Hughson, CA from complications of a stroke at the age of 72.  Jim was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 25, 1943 to Victor and Celinda Farley.  Jim has been a resident of Ripon for the past 11 years. 
After high school, Jim proudly served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1964.  After retiring, Jim became an avid cruiser and is known as an ambassador of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.  Jim also enjoyed traveling and camping in his RV.  Jim enjoyed drinking wine with family and friends and loved to socialize; Jim never knew a stranger.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
   Jim leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Ellie Farley, his children: Brian Farley (Paris) of Tracy, CA, Melanie Higuera of Castro Valley, CA and James Farley,  Jr. of Hayward, CA, his grandchildren; Matthew Farley, Bianca Higuera, Sam Higuera, Paul Conlon and Jake Farley, along with his siblings; Patricia Farley and Cynthia Landrum.
   Jim is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Farley and Mike Farley. 
   Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapels.  A Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 23rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m with a chapel service immediately following at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.  Donations in Jim’s name may be made to the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.
