James L. Dutra “Jimmy”, 41, entered into rest on August 11, 2010 Rapid City, South Dakota. He was born on July 2, 1969 in Stockton Ca. to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Sr. and Shirley Dutra. He joins his father in heaven Marion Dutra Sr.

Jimmy is survived by his mother Shirley Dutra of Manteca. His loving wife of 16 years is Kristina Dutra of Manteca. He has 4 children Madisson Dutra, Amanda Dutra, Sara Dutra and Christopher Sandoval all of Manteca. His siblings are Maria Dutra, DeeDee Dutra, Skip Dutra and Joe Dutra all of Manteca. Jimmy is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved deeply.

Jimmy was a member of Local 3 of Stockton where he was a heavy equipment operator. He also worked for Ed Machado for many years farming. As a young boy Jimmy went to Nile Garden Elementary School and graduated from Manteca High School class of 1987. While attending MHS Jimmy was extremely in involved with many different organizations and sports such as; football, wrestling, FFA, 4-H and band. While being involved with FFA Jimmy was voted in as FFA President and eventually he received his State Farm Hand Degree through FFA. He was a member of the M.R.P.S. where he enjoyed socializing at their many events. He enjoyed hunting fishing and being outdoors. He loved riding the open road on his Harley and taking his children out for rides. Jimmy never met a stranger; he loved joking and harassing is friends in a fun and loving way. He was a magnet for fun always outgoing as he was a best friend to many.

Mr. Dutra’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from   3 to 7 p.m. followed by a vigil service at 7 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A Mass will be held on Friday August 20, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St., Manteca. He will be laid to rest with his beloved father at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
