Janis M. Daniel, age 77, entered into rest on March 20, 2013 in Manteca.  She was born on August 12, 1935 in Bernice, Oklahoma.  She was a resident of Manteca for over 50 years.  Janis is preceded in death by her parents, the late Otto and Chloe Buckner, her husband of 56 years, the late Earnest Daniel and her siblings, Jack Buckner and Betty Swogger.

Janis is survived by her children, Karen A. Collins (Greg) of Stockton and Brenda D. Daniel of Susanville, CA.  She was blessed with two grandchildren, Nicole E. Collins of San Diego and Michael G. Collins of Stockton. Janis also leaves behind her siblings, Doris Wilson of Portland, OR, Tom Buckner of Manteca and Lilla Ruth (Toy) Fisher of Oklahoma.

Janis was a member of Sequoia Heights Baptist Church in Manteca.  She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, sewing and embroidering.  She loved to bake, especially during the holidays.  She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors.  Her greatest joy was her family. Janis was a caregiver to her husband, children  and grandchildren.  “There is a time for everything…” Ecclesiastics 3:1-2…

Union Road, Manteca.  A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 26th at 11:00am at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E.
